The first two cassette releases by RoosterHead are in some ways the
quintessential document of the work of both Michael Kennedy and Pete
Moss. Together, playing almost all the instruments, arranging and producing
these two albums is a testament to the creative powers of these two
late artists.
The musical diversity combined with a coherent vision is what makes
the two albums (now collected on one CD) essential listening.
Later, with the release of the CD Barnyard Delights, RoosterHead would
grow into a full band to facilitate live performance. And with that
came a softening of vision and a slow degradation of the band. There
were still great songs (see our RoosterHead: Ultra Rare Tracks CD) But
in our opinion, this is the best of RoosterHead.
PRODUCTION NOTE:
Due to space limitations the songs Digging and Glory
Hole originally appearing on American Cock In Paris are available
on our RoosterHead: Ultra Rare Tracks CD.
